Personally I think the lens was overated which is why I sold it. Fortunately I didn't make a loss so with the funds I bought an Olympus E-520 + 14-42mm + 70-300mm Kit. So now I have built in camera stabilisation AND four thirds crop ratio taking my setup beyond the 400mm of the Canon lens. The 450D also went as well. In all I made a wise choice.
Sorry to put a downer on the lens but for the money there are better options out there - and don't forget that with Photoshop you "can polish a turd". In other words photos through cheaper glass can look just as good as through expensive glass with just a few actions in Photoshop.
